Technical communicators
We used to be called technical writers and editors . . . before we stopped writing. If you have a stack of manuals near your computer, chances are good that you didn't get them with the products you bought this year.

I work for a software developer, and I'm a part of the group that's responsible for providing you with the information (in the form of online help, manuals and tutorials, mainly) you need to use our product. I once was known as a mighty editor, but lately I've been poking around in the technological junk drawer we fondly call multimedia. I am truly in awe of the masters of this discipline. I can swear in four languages, and I'm sure I used every word I know a dozen times as I braved my way through my last project.

If you're a technical communicator, too, you might find these sites interesting.
